"Teardrops" - the song from the english
album wtitten by Alsou & produced by Sturken & Rogers. It's just amazing. Her ex-producer said that such songs are born once in
a decade.
-
"The Autumn Dreamed To Me" - the extended version of Alsou's debut russian disc. It was planned according to Alsou's contract with "Real Records", but "Universal Music Russia" tried to prevent this release. Then "Universal Music"
sent a letter to "Real Records" telling that all the rights on Alsou's russian songs belong to "Universal". "Universal" sent such letters to the largest audio distributors of Russia. As the result, "Real Records" could release the album only with 2 new tracks & with the same cover because
representatives of "Universal Music" told Alsou she will never have the international carrier if more than 2 new songs would be published. "Real Records" sued "Universal" in court as the russian company had loss because of not released songs. "Real Records" won the case. It released the album with
four new tracks in april 2002, after 6 months.

"Vesna"
("Spring") - the second russian song of Alsou wich came after "Zimniy
Son". The video was shot in Chezh Repulic. The idea of the video
is: a young catholic nun falls in love with the tourist who visits her
nunnery. Alsou didn't want to play this role at first, because she's
a moslem. But she says: "I have realized we have one God, but his names
are different". The nun played by Alsou has stolen the knapsack
of the fellow. The video had two variants of the ending: in first one the
nun had gone with the tourist on his skateboard; in the second variant she
had stayed in the nunnery. The second variant was used in the video &
nobody regrets of this.
-
"VIVA"
- the german
music channel which had an interview with Alsou. She even sang there.
You may download her singing in "Surprizes".
-
"Video Music Awards"
- the award for the best music videos. Alsou was nominated for it in
2001, but the award was won by the russian group "Tatoo". Their
video is very shocking & there was a scandal about it...Nevertheless they
took the prize...before the ceremony (when there were nobody in the hall)
& that part of the show wasn't shown anywhere exсept for Russia...

"Vogue"
- the favorite
magazine of Alsou.

"What
Your Girl Don't Know"
- this song could become the second single from the english album but it
haven't. It was rotated on "Eurovision Web Radio".
-
"World Music Awards" (WMA) - the ceremony where the best world selling
artists take the prizes. It's held in Monte-Carlo. Alsou might took
the prize in 2000 but she represented Russia on "Eurovision"
at the same time almost so the prize was given to another russian singer. Alsou
took the prize as the best selling russian artist in 2001. Her performance
was great. She met many world stars, e.g. Ricky
Martin, Anastaсia, Sisqo.

"You're My
№ 1" -
the perfect duet of Alsou & Enrique Iglesias. The song was
released on "Enrique" album & he sang it alone. "Universal
Music Russia" initiated the duet. The song was shown to Alsou
& she fell in love...with the song, of course. Enrique wanted to
sing the duet when he heard Alsou's voice & saw her picture. At
first russian newspapers wrote that Alsou & Enrique
had recorded the song together in London. But then it appeared that they didn't
meet each other until Enrique's concert in Moscow in autumn
2000. The vocal of Alsou was produced by Pam Shayne, one of the
authors of Aguilera's "Genie In A Bottle". The premiere of
the song was widely advertised & it was played every hour on almost
every russian radio. The video shows us the repetition of two stars, the
performance in Kremlin & the beautiful sights of Moscow. The
single was out in November 2000 & there were more then 100000 copies
sold. The CD includes the original version, Nino Radio Mix, the russian
version (with russian vocal of Alsou), russian version Inter Mix,
Karaoke & the interactive presentation. Alsou took the russian
"Record" award (such a russian "Grammy") for this song
as the best single.

"Zimniy
Son" ("Winter Dream") - the first russian song recorded
by Alsou. The video is based on "Lolita" movie & shows
us a girl (Alsou was only 15) who falls in love with her mother's
boyfriend. Though the original motion picture is shocking, the video is
about a girl dreaming of clear love (Alsou didn't want to have such a
role, but then she realized her Lolita is not like the vulgar character of
the book & the movie).
